Sat, 09/24/2011 - 08:00 — Anonymous Hongkong Post today (September 24)
announced that a set of stamps will be released for sale together with
associated philatelic products on October 10 to commemorate the centenary of
the Xinhai Revolution. Using a newspaper layout design with monochrome
graphics and headlines in red, this set of commemorative stamps highlights
the key figures and events of the Xinhai Revolution and features some of the
important episodes. To commemorate this historic milestone, China Post,
Hongkong Post and Macau Post will also jointly issue a souvenir pack on the
same day. In this joint souvenir pack, three stamp sheetlets issued by the
respective Posts on this stamp theme will be presented in se-tenant style.
Official first day covers will be put on sale for $1 each at all post offices
effective from September 26. Meanwhile, stamps and associated philatelic
products will be displayed at the General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui Post
Office, Tsuen Wan Post Office and Sha Tin Central Post Office on the same
day. Advance orders for servicing self-provided covers will be accepted at
all philatelic offices from September 26 to October 2. Further information
