The Largest Sculpture made from Lanterns: Going For The Guinness World Record

Mon, 09/05/2011 - 13:33 — Anonymous The Largest Sculpture made from
Lanterns: Going For The Guinness World Record Hong Kong's signature glow
might be neon but during the Mid-Autumn Festival lanterns reprise their
age-old role as the city's favourite form of light. This year, Hong Kong is
pulling out all the stops with 'Lee Kum Kee Lantern Wonderland' in Victoria
Park. Drop by to gape at the centrepiece of the 2011 celebrations -- a
lantern so big it is going for a Guinness World Record -- and hang around to
enjoy the other carnival capers in the park. This giant Mid-Autumn lantern is
the result of a local design competition, organised by the Hong Kong Tourism
Board (HKTB) and supported by the Ambassadors of Design (AoD), Hong Kong
Designers Association (HKDA) and the Hong Kong Institute of Architects
(HKIA). www.discoverhongkong.com From: hongkong Views: 4438 18 ratings Time:
