Special stamp issue - "Tamar Development Project"

announced that a "Tamar Development Project" stamp sheetlet will be released
for sale together with associated philatelic products on December 15. The
Tamar Development Project covered the design and construction of the new
Chief Executive's Office, Central Government Offices, the Legislative Council
Complex, extensive open space and two elevated walkways. Hongkong Post is
issuing the stamp sheetlet to commemorate this important landmark project.
Based on four concepts - "Door Always Open", "Land Always Green", "Sky Will
Be Blue" and "People Will Be Connected" - the architecture of the buildings
reflects the Government's notion of governance and the people's vision of the
city. Official First Day Covers will be put on sale for $1 each at all post
offices from December 1. The stamp sheetlet and associated philatelic
products will be displayed at the General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui Post
Office, Tsuen Wan Post Office and Sha Tin Central Post Office from the same
day. Advance orders for servicing self-provided covers will be accepted at
all philatelic offices from December 1 to 7.Further information can be
